The 4th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations

The 4th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations, held in Qufu from November 15th to 17th, 2016, successfully held the sub-forum "Nishan World Women's Forum". Yoo Soon-taek, spouse of the then UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon sent a congratulatory letter, and Lakshmi Puri, the then UN Women’s Deputy Director-General delivered a video speech of congratulations. Over 500 guests attended the forum, including Hans d’Orville, the then UNESCO Assistant Director-General and his spouse Meri Madshay, Wang Shiming, former Deputy Minister of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee and experts and scholars from more than 20 countries and regions. A total of 109 thesis were received. "Declaration of Human Simple Life" and "World Women Nishan Consensus" were adopted and published, and the seminar on "Learning from General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Discourse on Excellent Chinese Traditional Culture" was planned and highlighted. The successful hosting of the forum has further cemented the Nishan World Civilization Forum as an important platform for discussing global development.
